The Passions That Drive Us — Eighth In Our Series
We recently asked our team members to share their passions — to put in writing what it is that drives them to come to work each day. The results showed a team made up of individuals who love to serve, both individually and alongside others. These passions are what allow us to consistently meet customer needs. The following is from Latisa Richard who works with freight trafficking and Accounts Receivable.
First and foremost, I want God’s love and kindness to show through everything I do each day. No matter how bad the day before was or how my night of sleep was, I strive to come to work fully focused on my duties ahead. It is my goal each day to provide our customers with quick and efficient shipping of their product. It is important to me to get quick responses to questions concerning transit times and freight costs to those in customer service so that they can relay the information to their customers in a prompt and timely manner. It is also important to me to always be there for a co-worker when they need extra help on a project, even if it is not in my department. Regardless of how busy, slow or frustrating some days can be, I do my best to give 100% in everything I do. I always keep in mind that God is giving me today so that is what I need to focus on. He doesn’t want me stressing over what happened yesterday, and He doesn’t want me to stress over tomorrow as it isn’t here yet.
