Cool Energy House Chooses Classic Metal Roofing Oxford Shingle

Classic Metal Roofing Systems’ Oxford Shingle aluminum roofing system has been chosen for use on the Cool Energy House being built in conjunction with the International Builders Show. The Cool Energy House is a joint effort of the Building America Retrofit Alliance and the Consortium for Advanced Residential Buildings. The home will be open for viewing during the annual builders show held in Orlando, Florida February 8 – 11.

Miller continued, “I believe that Oxford Shingle was chosen for the Cool Energy House for three reasons. First, it is produced from metal that is 95% recycled in content. And, third, it features a special heat-reflective coating that reduces a home’s air conditioning loads by up to 20% and even more in many climates.”
