We recently asked our team members to share their passions — to put in writing what it is that drives them to come to work each day. The results showed a team made up of individuals who love to serve, both individually and alongside others. These passions are what allow us to consistently meetcustomer needs. The following is from Joe Knife who manages our retail operation based in Louisville, Kentucky.

I think for me the most satisfying part of my job is answering questions for people who are really baffled by all the choices in metal roofing and who are trying to make an informed decision. It’s pretty easy to tell early on in appointments if the homeowners are “in to” learning about metal roofing or just casually wanting a price. For those who are really “in to” it, the appointment is an opportunity for them to learn and to sift through all of the choices out there in metal. If I can help them sort through that and make an informed decision about what’s going to be the best choice(s) for their home and their situation, that’s the most rewarding part of my job. Sometimes it means we don’t even get the sale, and that’s okay. If we do, all the better, but either way I’ve cleared up issues that were cloudy for them beforehand. That’s what I enjoy most.
