Metal Roofing — It’s Never Too Soon

One of the things I have noticed over the years is that many folks who opt for metal roofing do so long before their old roof is completely worn out.

On the other hand, folks who re-roof with traditional shingles often wait until leaks are appearing and home damage is occurring.

So, what’s the difference?

I think the difference is that those who choose metal have a long-term perspective. They know that someday they will have to re-roof the house they are in. With metal roofing and it’s long life, they might as well re-roof sooner rather than later and begin enjoying the beauty and energy payback of their roof now rather than down the road when they really have to re-roof.

These folks also avoid the problems and damage that occur when you wait to re-roof until your old roof is leaking. And, what’s more, by re-roofing now, they avoid the inflation creep that occurs over the years and they buy their roof as economically as possible.
