The Message of Christmas

December 15, 2014 | Filed under: Newsletter Articles

Isn’t the message of Christmas timeless? Now, just as 2000 years ago, we remain a world in need of a savior. During the next few weeks, we will see lots of holiday and Christmas messages that will pull our attractions in tons of directions. May we sift through those messages and remain focused on the baby Jesus and what He means to us today!

For a child has been born—for us!
the gift of a son—for us!
He’ll take over
the running of the world.
His names will be: Amazing Counselor,
Strong God,
Eternal Father,
Prince of Wholeness.
His ruling authority will grow,
and there’ll be no limits to the wholeness he brings.
(From Isaiah 9, The Message)

This connection to God through His son, sent specifically for us, is quite a gift. God understands the struggles, temptations, and failures of our humanity because He walked amongst us. But, because of Him, we don’t have to live in shame or fear but in strength, mercy, hope, and love — the strength, mercy, hope, and love of the little babe in the manger.

As the owners of Classic Metal Roofing Systems, Christmas is a time when we’re especially vocal about our faith in Jesus Christ, and the stories He has written into our lives. However, we pray that you can see our faith throughout the rest of the year as well.

In being vocal about our faith, it is never our intention to deny others their faith. In fact, we celebrate that we live in a country where we can all be public about our beliefs. For us, it is unimaginable that we could ever separate our personal religious views from the business. To have to compartmentalize things in that way would be very disingenuous and hypocritical, causing us to lack the wholeness that we seek through Christ.

So, we wish you a very Merry Christmas as, together, we celebrate the birth of God’s son for our life in Him. If your spiritual beliefs take you in a different direction this holiday season, we celebrate that with you as well and wish you a most joyous season. If your life has you seeking right now and you’d like to know more about why our faith is so real to us, please contact us. May we all enter 2015 refreshed and restored, confident in the future that is ahead of us.
